Welcome to Science at Randlay!
At Randlay Primary School and Nursery our intent for Science is to excite, inspire and ignite our young scientists with a passion for and a love of the Science phenomena in the world around them. With the different types of scientific enquiry at it's heart, we develop our learners knowledge, understanding and application of skills, ensuring scientific concepts are meaningful and relevant in their everyday lives. To support this further, our learners explore ideas in depth and find out more about how these have evolved over time in an ever changing world. At Randlay School, we recognise our learners as the scientists of the future offering them aspirational opportunities and encouraging links across their learning, making sure experiences are fun but purposeful. We also recognise the power of inspirational scientists and promote the possibility of scientific careers through a range of expert visitors and engaging visits across our rigorous Science curriculum offer.
