At Randlay Primary School and Nursery, we work together as one to provide our pupils with a broad and balanced curriculum. As part of this curriculum, we teach French as a Modern Foreign Language. This is continued at Secondary school where many of our local schools teach French. We believe that learning a foreign language is an important part of education and provides our pupils with opportunities to explore other countries, languages and cultures. Languages are part of the cultural richness of our society and the world in which we live and work. To enable our children to celebrate and welcome differences in our world it is vital they explore different languages and cultures. By introducing and exposing our children to this, they will develop respect, tolerance and play a valuable part in our global society.
