In all cases of absence, the law requires you to either telephone or send a note to explain why your child has been absent from school. We ask that you contact the school before 9.30am to register your child’s absence. Verbal messages via the children are not acceptable. Lateness has to be registered as an unauthorised absence.
Please note that children may only leave during the school day for dental treatment, hospital appointments, or similar reasons if they are collected by a parent or carer. If you are unable to collect your child and another person will be doing so, please contact the school office in advance and provide the name of the person and their relationship to your child. This measure is in place to ensure the safety of all children.
