We work closely with secondary schools in an aim to make children transition into secondary school with ease. Due to the location of Randlay, there is a widespread array of secondary schools within Telford where our children move to for Year 7. We have a close relationship with many of these schools and some of our children have attended ‘taster sessions’ within these settings, as well as visiting them for special performances.
When children are allocated their secondary schools, secondary school staff are invited in to Randlay to speak to the pupils in small groups or individually in an aim to get to know the children before they start in September. School staff also speak to the prospective secondary schools to ensure important information is shared where appropriate.
