Chester Zoo!

Today the Year 5 and 6 children took a trip to Chester Zoo to expand their knowledge of animals that usually live in the rainforest. They also participated in a conservation workshop and used clues to identify a hidden message.

 


Science week in Base 6

As part of science week, Base 6 conducted two experiments. One to investigate what we should and should not flush down the toilet and another to investigate the process of purifying water.

 

 

 

 


Maya hot chocolate!

Today the children were learning about the traditional Maya hot chocolate. They had a taste of pure cacao and a cinnamon\chilli hot chocolate. Some of the children were also demonstrating den building and weaving skills!


Amazing Americas

Children in Base 6 have completed their geography unit on ‘Amazing America’s’ by producing a holiday brochure to display their learning of different South American countries.

 


Anti Bullying Week- Odd Socks Day

Base 6 have all worn odd socks today to highlight the importance of kindness and developing their understanding of bullying. We have also looked into examples of respect and how we can show respect around school.
