Year 3 and 4 Telford Maths Championship Winners!
On Wednesday 24th June, a wonderful group of six year 3 and 4 children visited St George’s CE Primary School to attend the first ever Year 3/4 Maths Championship. It was led by Helen Owens Education Ltd, an NCETM Leader in Mathematics Education. The event consisted of five rounds, with each round including different topics, from shape to all four number operations. The children worked incredibly well as a group to answer the challenges set, earning a certain number of points depending on the challenge of the questions. Mrs Maddock even had a go at them on the side-lines! Our team were successful in winning first place with the highest number of points! Well done Arther, Dominic, Tess, Utima, Kristi and Olivia – your outstanding maths work in school has certainly paid off. Your teachers are immensely proud of you. Enjoy the success!

Year 3 and 4 Lego League

Our Year 3 and 4 STEM team had an incredible day taking part in the LEGO League, hosted by Capgemini!
Throughout the event, the children demonstrated excellent teamwork, creativity, engineering skills and problem-solving as they designed, built and presented their LEGO creations. They embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and resilience, applying key STEM skills in a fun and practical way.
We are incredibly proud that our team won Best Use of Bricks and Most Historical Build. A huge congratulations to everyone who took part – you represented Randlay Primary brilliantly and were fantastic ambassadors for our school!
Early Help at Randlay
We recognise that family life can bring many challenges, and that at different times people may need varying levels of support. Strong communication and positive connections between home, school, and other professionals can make a real difference to a child’s wellbeing and progress. Here at our school, we encourage families to share any concerns, changes at home, or decisions that may affect their child. By working together, we can provide the right support at the right time.
To support and advise you when needed, we have an Early Help Offer. Please click on the link below for details of some of the support that we can offer as well as different services we can signpost to.
