VE Day Art Competition – “The Day Peace Returned”

To encourage creativity, we are holding an exciting art competition open to all pupils.

  • Theme: The Day Peace Returned
  • Entry fee: £1.50 (payable via ParentPay)
  • Submission deadline: Wednesday 7th May

We’d love children to create a piece of art that shows celebration, joy and the return of peace at the end of World War II. We can’t wait to see what you create!

Here are some ideas to inspire:

A painting of street parties

A collage of doves, flags and fireworks

A sculpture showing people coming together

A drawing of families reunited.

Entries should be bought into school on Wednesday 7th May, via your child’s class base, and will be judged by the School Council on Thursday 8th May! Prizes to be given during assembly on Friday 9th May.

We’re encouraging children to be as imaginative and expressive as they like!

Science Week 2025

Base 2 enjoyed taking part in Science week. We looked for wool caterpillars in the outdoor area. The children made observations about the dark and bright colours and we learnt about the word camouflage.

Red Nose Day- Comic Relief 2025

We are collecting Donations for Comic Relief-Red Nose day.

On Friday 21st March, we will be taking part in Comic Relief and raising funds for Red Nose Day with a non-uniform day. Children and staff can come to school wearing something red. This could be a small touch, such as a hair accessory, socks, shoes, or a belt, or you may opt for an entirely red outfit! We encourage everyone to be resourceful—there’s no need to purchase anything new.

We are suggesting a minimum donation of £2 per child, which is can be paid via the following link.
