Global Musical Journey – 26th March

This afternoon, Dr Landau, inspired us with some South African musical instruments. We used a shaker and a kalimba to create our own version of ‘Ngubani?’ which we performed for the class.


STEM activity in Base 3

To end British Science Week, Base 3 experimented with milk, food dye and washing up liquid! The washing up liquid bonded with the fat in the milk, causing the food colouring to be pushed out to the edge of the bowl. It was very cool to see!


Outdoor Learning 13.3.25

In Outdoor Learning, Base 3 sampled some delicious Viking soup, packed full of tasty potatoes, turnips, suede, butternut squash, leeks, carrots, celery, parsnips, vegetable stock and rosemary, served with whole grain bread. Lots of thumbs up all round.

   

 


Base 3 Outdoor Learning

Today, Base 3 rowed on their longboats into the forest school area, where they helped to cover the muddy paths with fresh bark, and created their own Viking shields.


Picasso Style Drawings

Base 3 have shown off their artistic talents by ‘taking their pencils for a walk’ and drawing in the style of Picasso.

Paper Chain Challenge

Who can make the longest paper chain using one piece of A4 paper? Base 3’s winning chains were made by Ruby (3m), Alicija (2m51) and Tess (2m37)
