Scholastic Book Fair Rewards for School

Thank you to our enthusiastic readers and generous parents/carers for making the 2025 Book Fair a huge success.

Through your support and our pupils’ excitement in selecting their favourite books, we’ve raised a very impressive £1,060.40 in rewards to spend on new books for school. These funds will be instrumental in enriching our school’s library, providing even more reading opportunities for the children.

Thank you for your encouragement in helping your children develop a passion for reading and for your unwavering support.

Composting Food Waste Energy Savings

Shropshire Good Food has provided us with a graphic illustrating the energy savings achieved through our composting efforts over the past two weeks. This visual representation highlights the positive environmental impact of diverting food waste from landfills, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions and conserving energy.

The energy savings from composting can be significant. For instance, composting food scraps instead of sending them to landfills can prevent approximately 0.5 tons of CO₂ equivalent emissions per ton of food waste. These savings contribute to mitigating climate change and promoting environmental sustainability.
