The rainforest is a habitat or home to many amazing plants and animals.  Just one of these inhabitants is the incredible Red-Eyed Tree Frog.

Temperature  Reading the divisions on a scale.


Red-Eyed- Tree Frogs ideal temperature is between 24-30 degrees Celsius during the day and between 18-25 degrees Celsius at night.

Look at these Rainforest thermometers.  Can you read the temperature and decide if it is from the daytime, night time or could it be from either?  Be careful looking at the scales on the thermometers as it changes each time.  You need to decide if the divisions are marking 1s, 2s, 5s or 10s.



Classification- The Red-Eyed Tree frog is an ‘Amphibian’.  Can you find out what an amphibian is?  What other animals are amphibians?





The Red-Eyed Tree frog’s body is adapted to it’s life in the rainforest.  Look at the difference between a Red-Eyed Tree Frog and a Common frog which is native to the UK.  What features does the Red-Eyed Tree Frog have that makes it perfect for living in the Rain forest?
